1 hour.

Brave. Moving. Divisive.

Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die is an incredibly insightful and tasteful film by Charlie Russell on assisted suicide. Pratchett, his assistant and the crew follow the stories of two men, both wanting to end their life at Dignitas in Switzerland. Pratchett as the presenter is poignant; his Alzheimer's diagnoses had so far lead him to the decision that assisted dying is something he would prefer to an undignified death. The journey of both Pratchett and his assistant Rob’s views on assisted dying make the documentary very human. You don’t need to be a Pratchett fan to appreciate the nature of this documentary. As one would expect from the subject, it is an incredibly emotional film. it is only an hour long, but it is rather intense. It is certain to cause discussion on the topic, and also very likely to bring tears to your eyes, so perhaps watch with those you feel comfortable with.
