1 hour 11 minutes.

Upsetting. Confrontational. Unique.

This documentary is not simply a 9/11 memorial documentary, nor a 9/11 conspiracy documentary, it offers a unique perspective into the response of the attack. It combines both the tragedy on a large and small scale and reflects upon America’s ability to cope with such a tragedy. It follows journalists who aim to identify a man in a graphic photo of a man who seems to have thrown himself from the Windows of the World Restaurant. The photo of this man, and many other people who jumped from the towers, were rejected by the mainstream media, as being too harrowing. Instead, America was more comfortable with photos of the heroes and firefighters fro 9/11. Whilst initial outrage in response to the photo considered it dehumanizing, the film presents it instead as a record of a final moment of autonomy for the people stuck on the highest floors of the tower. The film is both respectful and reflective, considering the American response to the tragedy, and the responses of the people who were suggested to be the family of the man.
